The start of a new year can bring a time of reflection, renewed sense of purpose, and even greater inspiration. Here at Operation Love as we finish our reports, review assessments, and hear the stories of our neighbors, we are more committed than ever to make an even bigger impact as we head into 2026.
This year’s reports highlighted:
- 25,757 individuals fed through the weekly and monthly food pantries
- Over 92 people participants in our MCCF funded HELP Project collaboration, learning about basic social work terms, best practices, and resources in how to be a better neighbor
- Balanced Budget and Financial Wellness programs supporting 244 families and helping them achieve 570 family goals!
- Hundreds of babies with fresh diapers, hundreds of kids equipped for school, and countless families receiving a listening ear, help, and hope
- 757 children in need in our community receiving coats, shoes, hygiene supplies, Christmas meal baskets, and of course gifts for each child through generous Christmas Wishes sponsors, collection sites, and donors.
But it wasn’t just about the gifts: these programs continue to provide presence and tangible help to show families and children that they are not forgotten. A coat doesn’t just keep a child warm, it allows them to be more carefree in a world full of difficulty. A new pair of shoes helps them jump and play with the rest of their classmates. Hygiene and cleaning supplies help them stay fresh for learning, family time, and more.
For a single mom who’s struggling, a grandparent raising a grandchild, or a dad who’s been laid off, the food, clothing, gifts, school supplies and more help ease the burden they feel to help shield their child from their family struggles and help them restore hope for a brighter future. Said one family:
“Thanks to the Christmas program my family was gifted and blessed beyond measure. It inspired me to keep striving to be a blessing to someone, somewhere, sometime.”
